Makerere University is to install solar powered street lights to curb terrorism in all the dark corners.
This is due to the many terror threats the university has received in the last few months and the deployment of the anti- terrorism squad.
According to the University Deputy vice chancellor Dr. Okello Ogwang, using a donation from sharp electronics, 120 solar lights worth 3.5 billion shillings will be installed.
Meanwhile the police spokesperson Fred Enanga has assured the University of maximum security and monitoring from police and other security organs.
