A joint steering committee meeting, meant to review and endorse the annual UN country results for 2022, was today held at the Office of the Prime Minister. The meeting was moderated by the Prime Minister RobinahNabbanja.
A similar meeting was held in May last year,and a number of priorities were identified including support to climate change mitigation.
The UN Resident Coordinator Susan Namondo, reiterated the UN’s continued cooperation with Uganda government to push forward the development agenda.
The joint steering committee is the highest authority, that implements the UN Sustainable Development Cooperation for Uganda 2020/25 frame work. Today’s meeting also agreed on priorities for 2023 and discussed emerging issues
