President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni together with Mrs. Janet Museveni have this afternoon received President Cyril Ramaphosa of South Africa with his wife Dr. Tshepo Ramaphosa at State House, Entebbe.
The South African President and his wife are in Uganda on a two-day private visit that will see them attend at the son, Andile Ramaphosa’s traditional marriage.
Andile Ramaphosa is engaged to Bridget Birungi Rwakairu, who is the niece of former Ugandan Prime Minister, Amama Mbabazi. 37-year-old Bridget Birungi Rwakairu for was born to the late Shadrack Rwakairu of Kabale and Peace Ruhindi. Amama took over the raising of Rwakairu after her father’s death in 1983.
The traditional marriage (Kuhingira) will take place this weekend at Mbabazi’s posh residence in Kololo.
Who is Andile?
36-year-old Andile, president Cyril Ramaphosa’s eldest son, is a finance and capital markets professional, currently working as the head of strategy in the Executive team of Macquire Bank South Africa. The couple who met at Beijing University of Science and Technology have been dating for the last ten years.
