One of Express FC’s influential players during the super league first round Edgar Luzige has joined Bunamwaya Sports Club on a free transfer. Luzige signed a two year renewable contract with Bunamwaya SC that will keep him at the club until after the 2013/2014 league season, he scored 5 league goals for Express in the first round together with 4 assists.
Bunamwaya SC is in a bid to strengthen its squad for the second round on top of replacing some of the departed stars like Kasule Owen & Mutyaba Mike who joined Gia Lai & Al Merriekh in Vietnam & Sudan respectively.
Luzige started his playing career with first division league side Iganga Town Council FC in 2006 where Victors spotted his talent eventually recruiting him in 2007. He immediately made an impact in Victors helping them to a Kakungulu Cup now Bell Uganda Cup trophy in 2010 before joining Express FC last year. He has been handed jersey number 8 previously worn by Kisaliita Ayub now at SC Villa.
SEGUJJA ABBEY REGISTERED
Former Uganda U17 national team striker Segujja Abbey has also been registered for the second round to boost Bunamwaya SC’s striking line. Segujja was part of the 2009/10 Bunamwaya SC super league winning squad but wasn’t registered last season to allow him concentrate more on his studies at St Mary’s Kitende where he sat S6 exams last year.
