Uganda’s Kiprotich has won the 2013 men’s marathon at the world championships in Moscow.
Stephen Kiprotich won gold and Boston Marathon winner Lelisa Desisa of Ethiopia took the silver, 21 seconds behind Kiprotich’s winning time of 2 hours, 9 minutes, 51 seconds.
Tadese Tola of Ethiopia took the bronze, 32 seconds behind Uganda. Kenya’s best Peter Some was in ninth place.
